<outline text="Hey AC,

So rather than stir up controvery and talking behind ya back talk
Podcast Alley and other forums about the acquisition. I'll just ask
directly...

A lot folks (not me) were surprised about the acquisition. Maybe you
can say a few words on the DSC now that the deal is done.

Cheers,
Jeff
--
Podcast Shuffle Show
Web: www.podcastshuffle.com <http://www.podcastshuffle.com/>
RSS: feeds.feedburner.com—PodcastShuffleShow <http://feeds.feedburner.com/PodcastShuffleShow>"/>

    <outline text="DSC Sept. 7 - Ham Operators">
      <outline text="Adam,

Just a note to say thanks for acknowledging the work that the ham operators
have been doing since the storm hit New Orleans last week. There have been a
number of stories in the media about how they are helping to keep
communication lines open during this devastating period of time.
While there are a number of HF communication nets running constantly, there
are also a couple of services that use Voice over IP as their primary method
of communication. Have a look at the Internet Radio Linking Project
(www.irlp.net <http://www.irlp.net/>) and the Voice over IP Weather Net (www.voipwx.net <http://www.voipwx.net/>) as
examples. Both of these sites offer streaming audio of the communications
when the nets are active, as they probably will be next week when the next
storms start making their way west.

And just as an aside, Morse code is no longer required for access to some
parts of the ham spectrum in the US, and is not required at all up here in
Canada.

Thanks for a great show, Adam. I listen to it every day on the commute to
work.

73,
Rod Templeton, VE7RJT
Vancouver, BC"/>

    <outline text="You made my roadtrip!">
      <outline text=" Adam,

For the last week I vacationed in the Colorado Rocky Moutnains. We opted to drive there (rather than fly) and the trek was around 1100 miles from Austin, TX to Estes Park, CO no matter how you cut it. I loaded up a couple weeks worth of The Daily Source Code into my iPod (with FM iTrip) and you kept me company on my journey, driving into the night. I must say that I've never been so entertained for such a long period of time!

It's amazing how intimate of an experience it is hearing your voice rambling "to me" while driving on a dark highway at 70 mph around 3am while my kids and wife sleep in the seats next to me. I couldn't have done the trip without you and your daily source. So thank you for such a great podcast, always.

I've attached a song that I think you'll find more than perfect for The Daily Source Code. It's an independant band's song so you should have no copyright infringement issues wiht playing it on your show.
Enjoy DICK N JANE : Not the way you Need
Their website is : www.dicknjanetheband.com—home.html <http://www.dicknjanetheband.com/home.html>

Rock on, Adam,

Merrell"/>
